What Data We Actually Collect

When you play Pixel Dispatch, we collect the information needed to keep your dispatcher career running smoothly: a username, an email address if you register an account, and basic gameplay statistics like mission completion rates and pixel routes unlocked. We also collect technical data your device sends automatically — things like browser type, operating system, and rough geographic region. None of this is exotic, and none of it is collected just because we can.

How Your Data Gets Used

Your gameplay data is used to save your progress across sessions, balance the dispatch network so the game stays competitive, and occasionally send you update notices if you've opted in. We analyze aggregated, anonymized player patterns to tune things like route difficulty and pixel traffic density — this helps us make Pixel Dispatch more fun, not more intrusive. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies and Local Storage

Pixel Dispatch uses cookies and browser local storage to remember your session, preferences, and in-game settings between visits. These are strictly functional — they're what lets you pick up your dispatch route where you left off without logging in every single time. You can clear these through your browser settings, though doing so will reset your local preferences.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party tools — primarily for hosting, analytics, and error tracking — that may process some of the technical data described above. Each of these partners is contractually bound to use data only for the purposes we specify. We review these partnerships periodically and keep the list as short as practical.

Data Storage and Retention

Your account and gameplay data is stored on secured servers. We keep active account data for as long as your account exists and the game is operational. If you request deletion of your account, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, with the exception of any records we are legally required to retain.

Your Rights as a Player

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct anything that's inaccurate, and request that we delete it entirely. You can also ask us to restrict processing or export your data in a portable format. These rights exist regardless of where you're playing from, and we take requests seriously — not as a compliance checkbox, but because it's the right way to operate.

Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your data, we'll post an update notice within the game and on this page, with the effective date clearly marked. Minor clarifications may be updated without a separate notice. Continuing to play Pixel Dispatch after a posted change means you've seen and accept the updated terms.
